Powered from waste heat in connection with thermally generated heat from Sunmega, these highly efficient, low carbon industrial chillers operate 24/7 to provide cooling, refrigeration or heat rejection. The ideal, low maintenance solution for supermarkets, large retail outlets, hotels and hospitals who dramatically need to reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions.

Free from harmful, hazardous and corrosive chemicals such as freons, lithium bromide and ammonia, these highly efficient and reliable chillers use water with silica gel as the refrigerant; eliminating the possibility of a hazardous leak into the environment.

Very quite in operation; each silica gel adsorption chiller consists of an evaporator section; to supply the chilled water, and a condenser section; to condense the water refrigerant vapour to a useable liquid for the spraying and chilling of the evaporator tubes.

Two heat exchange chambers alternate between vapour retention and rejection; using a cool and hot water circuit. The cycle [which takes around 7 minutes] moves the silica gel and water refrigerant around the chiller via the pressure differentials that were created by the various process changes.

With a life expectancy of between 20 - 30 years, the chillers are fully programmable by control sensors to maintain the chiller's high efficiency - even with variable loads. There is no restriction on cooling water temperature and in fact; the lower the cooling temperature, the higher the capacity...
